trip to their individual portfolios |
Parkgate House is an independent prep school with 140 pupils
in London. One of the key features of School Life, as far
as headteacher Trudie Masterson, is concerned, is the ability
to generate ‘digital portfolios’ enabling pupils
to demonstrate the wide range of activities and events they
are involved with at Parkgate House when they go for interviews
for secondary school. Written to a CD and displayed on a laptop,
the portfolios will allow children to show a rich display
of their own personal experiences and achievements.
There will be the added benefit that portfolios offer each
child (and their parents) a personal record of their school
days to keep and treasure.
Parkgate House has found the School Life diary very useful.
Class teachers and administrators can update and view diaries
for each teacher, class and the whole school so everyone knows
what is going on and can easily access pictures of events
which are linked to the associated diary entry.

Trudie Masterson, Head
“School Life offers us exactly what
we were looking for: a way to develop digital portfolios for
our children to show on a laptop in their interviews for the
top London day schools.”
